Plateless Foiling and Simulated Embossing Embellishment - Foilglazer II × AeroDieCut

Print embellishment that adds a premium feel to printed materials is an important element for enhancing the value of products such as packaging, cards, and promotional tools. However, conventional foiling and embossing processes often require dedicated plates, resulting in high initial costs, large MOQ, and complex production processes that rely on highly skilled operators.

Foilglazer II and AeroDieCut combine toner foil processing and simulated embossing to achieve high-value decorative effects while keeping initial costs low. This solution is ideal for prototyping and small-lot, high-mix production where a premium appearance is required.

Step 1 | Foil Processing with Foilglazer II

The process begins with printing using K100 toner. After printing, foil processing is applied with Foilglazer II.

Foilglazer II uses heat to melt the K100 toner and transfer the foil to the printed areas. Because no dedicated foil plate is required, it enables flexible and detailed foil expressions that fully take advantage of digital printing.

In addition, over-foil printing after the foil process allows for personalized elements and multiple metallic colors, making this method especially suitable for small-lot and high-mix production.

Step 2 | Simulated Embossing with AeroDieCut

The finishing process is carried out using the AeroDieCut die-cutting machine. By combining counter plates and creasing blades in the die board, an embossing effect can be simulated.

Traditionally, embossing requires dedicated male and female dies, which leads to high initial costs, longer lead times, and the need for advanced operating skills. With simulated embossing, the effect can be achieved in a single pass together with the cutting process, while significantly reducing plate costs.

The Synergy of Foil Processing and Simulated Embossing

When foil processing is applied in advance, the simulated embossing becomes even more visually striking, resulting in a premium finish. Thanks to Foilglazer II and AeroDieCut, high-value embellishment can be achieved with a simple and cost-effective production process.

This balance of quality, efficiency, ease of operation, and cost reduction is the greatest appeal of this application.
