Application
AeroDieCut Application: Sweet Boxes with Fluted Paper
Uchida’s AeroDieCut is designed to handle a wide range of paper materials, and it has now proven its ability to process fluted board, particularly E-flute and G-flute. To demonstrate this capability, we created a sample sweet box cut from flute board, showing how the machine achieves clean, precise results even with corrugated materials.
What Are E-Flute and G-Flute Papers?
- E-Flute: Approximately 1.2–1.6 mm thick. Strong yet relatively thin, with a smoother surface compared to standard corrugated board. Often used for retail packaging and lightweight boxes.
- G-Flute: Approximately 0.9–1.1 mm thick. One of the thinnest flute types, offering fine corrugation for a refined appearance while still maintaining strength. Suitable for compact and premium packaging.
Both flute types are widely used in packaging applications, such as boxes for sweets, cosmetics, or gifts, where strength and presentation are both important.
Demonstration: Cutting a Sweet Box
- The AeroDieCut produced sharp edges and accurate creases, enabling easy folding and assembly.
- Even detailed features such as tabs and slots were cut with high precision.
- The finished box was sturdy and well-shaped, suitable for use as packaging for sweets or small items.
